TYHOO | Uganda LWA HDPE Lining Project Successfully Completed

2026-09-20

Recently, the Uganda LWA Project, with SINOPEC as the EPC and TYHOO as the subcontractor, has achieved final acceptance.

On September 14,2026, the air-tightness test for the final 750m HDPE lining pipeline passed in one single run. All on-site services performed by TYHOO received joint acceptance from the EPC Contractor and project owner Total Energies, marking the successful closeout of the project.

The subcontract was awarded in November 2025. The project had an extended design and procurement lead time, while the available on-site construction window was less than one month, presenting significant technical challenges. Faced with tight schedules and stringent technical specifications, TYHOO leveraged its integrated capabilities covering design & calculation, material supply and on-site installation services. At the early stage, the team conducted extensive special engineering calculations and compiled a complete package of technical documents, securing high-level approval of the lining design proposal from Total Energies. The team coordinated HDPE lining pipe fabrication and cross-border shipment to ensure materials arrived at site on schedule. Entering the on-site execution phase, the project team strictly complied with the EPC’s requirements and efficiently delivered core activities including lining pulling, pipe expansion and air-tightness testing. All technical indicators met acceptance criteria.

The successful delivery of the Uganda LWA project fully demonstrates TYHOO’s full-chain delivery capacity for overseas pipeline rehabilitation lining works. Going forward, TYHOO will continue to provide integrated pipeline solutions to support the delivery of global energy infrastructure projects.
