TYHOO Coating Evaluated by Chartercoating

On June 24th,2016, TYHOO has received the final test report of primed FBE coating from world-famous laboratory Chartercoating Lab in Canada. The coating was applied by Yulong Tyhoo Pipe Coating Co., Ltd and coating material manufactured by NewSun Chemical Co., Ltd, both are subsidiary companies of Tyhoo.

The evaluation test contains total 20 test items including pull-off strength, autoclave tests under high temperature(85℃/100℃/180℃), high pressure(15MPa), high chloride content(157,600 mg/L) and with 30% H2S, long-term (90 days) immersion tests under water and desalination water hot oil-water mixture immersion test, salt fog test, long-term thermal Shock test under -30℃ to 150℃, etc.

All evaluation tests have shown excellent results after testing and has convectively proven the advantage and strong anti-corrosion performance of Tyhoo’s primed FBE coating under extreme severe conditions.

Yulong Tyhoo’s internal FBE coating production line adopts Sucking Oven Posted-curing System with liquid phenolic epoxy primer (or other type of liquid primer) with fusion bonded epoxy coating, with heating cleaning oven to remove any oil, grease or oxide contamination on pipe surface and continuous long-time high temperature post curing to ensure the internal FBE coating’s adhesion strength, compactness, anti-heavy-corrosion ability, anti-abrasion ability and other key mechanical and chemical resistance ability. Yulong Tyhoo’s internal FBE coating system is applicable to be used for transporting sea water, desalinated sea water, pulp, crude oil, raw natural gas and other corrosive medium. The coating has much higher cost performance compared with internal rubber liner, internal high density polyethylene liner or injection of liquid epoxy coating.

The coating materials evaluated this time are TAFF-523(primer) and TAFF-837(FBE), designed to be used in high temperature and high pressure natural gas pipeline, tubing and casing and water injection pipeline which contains H2S and CO2. The material can effectively prevent pitting corrosion with its excellent anti-corrosion ability. Can be used in various kinds of production oil wells, under well equipment, high temperature and high pressure sweet/acid oil and gas well, water injection well, CO2 secondary oil recovery. The material can also increase the flow efficiency, reduce corrosion and maintain an integrated coating after repeated using.
